Overview
Our client is a global digital and physical solutions provider. Established over 200 years ago, the business holds over 1000 patents through continuous innovation, and employs over 2300 people globally.
The business is now looking to expand its Application & Support function and appoint a Technical Integration Specialist. The Technical Integration Specialist (3rd Line Application Support) provides expert technical support, manages projects and compliance, interacts with customers, and participates in on-call and incident response duties, often requiring travel within Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support new team members, including during on-call duties, ensuring their confidence and readiness.
- Develop and configure new customer environments, specialise in key areas (e.g., PLA, shipping queries, Ansible scripting), and lead knowledge transfer sessions.
- Collaborate with third parties to ensure software compatibility, assist in drafting detailed RfCs, and maintain essential documentation.
- Provide expert support for custom solutions, handle escalated issues, and manage all aspects of application administration and maintenance.
- Travel to customer sites for deployments, respond to security issues, and identify and resolve recurring problems.
- Continuously improve service quality, engage in performance reviews, and adhere to company guidelines and policies.
Key Requirements:
- Proficient in Linux OS (Debian 11, Ubuntu 24.04).
- Skilled in containerization technologies (Docker).
- Proficient in Ansible.
- Skilled in querying databases (Microsoft SQL, MariaDB, MySQL, Cassandra).
- Experienced with web servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx).
- ITIL Foundation certification or experience in ITIL (Desirable).
- Familiar with SSL Certificates and virtual server platforms (Desirable).
- Knowledgeable in Octopus deployment automation (Desirable).
- Skilled in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) (Desirable).
- Proven experience in 3rd line support (Desirable).
