Software Engineer

NST Recruitment is working alongside a global industrial printing manufacturer, based in the UK, who is looking to appoint a Software Engineer with C++, Linux, and Jira/Confluence experience, as part of their R&D Engineering department. The Software Engineer with C++, Linux and Jira/Confluence experience will be part of a market leading company, promoting a results-orientated, inclusive and progressive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Engineering team to develop and produce software for the core product range
• Programme embedded applications which is targeted towards a Linux OS platform
• Be involved in development and testing activities in the labs
• Support and work alongside developers and testers globally

Key Skills:

• Degree educated in Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering
• C++ software development experience in a commercial environment
• Strong working understanding and knowledge of Linux OS
• Experience in using Atlassian tools, such as Jira, Confluence and Crucible
• Be a problem solver and have an innovative mind
• Excellent communication skills and thrives in a team
• Has a desire/enthusiasm for Agile development – i.e. SCRUM
