Our client a leading consultancy are seeking multiple Product Managers to join their organisation in Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Accountable for the full lifecycle of your product set from initial concept
  • Manage prioritisation and trade-offs
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Drive and lead key projects within the incubation of disruptive innovations and require close partnership with business and technical teams to design and deliver the work
  • Work with our customers and the marketplace where you will need:
  • to understand and drive outcomes for customer delight;
  • to attend governance boards to influence change and ensure our voice is clear;
  • Be the SME – the leader and the ultimate source of truth on aligned products; to act to enable the business to understand the position, goals and ambitions of those products, and work in lock step with the other Product Managers to support the overall portfolio.

Essential skills:

  • Exposure to NIST-aligned Cloud products, preferably IAAS or PAAS
  • Define creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
  • Genuinely able to engage in conversations with business and technical stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, with experience in product management of customer facing IT products
  • Experienced in translating ideas/concepts, from a range of stakeholders, into workable solutions with a clear, prioritised roadmap and strategy to achieve them
  • Good understanding of product development practices to interpret and drive the highest value outcomes
  • Experienced at making hard and prompt decisions to ensure that the business has the best opportunity possible to succeed
  • Able to influence and guide others to make changes and take action without direct line authority
  • Hands-on experience as a Product Owner within an agile team, skilled in the clear definition of features and user stories
  • Experience of Agile

Desirable skills

  • Direct experience working with Government networks (for example PSN, N3)
  • Experience working within a secure environment on projects classified as Secret
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following cloud technologies Openstack, VMware, Azure or Oracle
