Role Overview

You have the chance to work for the premier distributor of networking and Extended Reality (XR) technologies for industrial applications, with over 35 years industry experience. Serving a variety of industries and applications, our client provides services to resellers, integrators, service providers, and network operators.

Due to continued growth across the business, they are now looking to appoint a Procurement Manager, as part of the established Operations department. The Procurement Manager will engage with suppliers to ensure service excellence, control costs, and mitigate risks. Responsibilities include developing relationships, negotiating contracts, resolving concerns, coordinating with departments, maintaining records, and creating reports for vendor program tracking and auditing.

Key Responsibilities for the Procurement Manager:
 

  • Source, select, and negotiate valuable supply solutions for the business and its customers.
  • Develop and enhance the Procurement function with commercial insight and proactive business contributions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, setting performance standards.
  • Continuously improve delivery, quality, and availability.
  • Implement sustainable procurement methods to support business-wide ESG goals.

Key Requirements for the Procurement Manager:
 

  • Relevant experience in Supplier, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Supplier Relationship Management, preferably in a tech distributor or IT Managed Services provider.
  • Base understanding of networking and XR products and services.
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and add value through procurement.
  • Ability to perform well in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
  • Ability to interact and negotiate with Suppliers and Vendors at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • CIPS Level 5 qualification is a plus.
