Position: L3 Network Engineer

Overview
The L3 Network Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the client’s IT systems and infrastructure. This involves proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, with the ultimate goal of meeting service level agreement conditions. The Service Delivery Support Engineer (L3) primarily focuses on providing third line support for complex incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational infrastructure: Utilise standard tools and procedures to promptly address and resolve incidents and requests, ensuring that agreed SLAs are met.
- Detect issues and discrepancies: Take a proactive approach to identify and address issues and errors before they affect client services. Record all such incidents promptly and with the necessary level of detail.
- Take charge of executing projects aimed at upgrading the current infrastructure with new versions or solutions.
- Knowledge management: Actively apply knowledge articles for routine tasks and contribute to the creation and updating of such articles.
- Quality Management: Conduct audits and analysis of incident and request tickets for quality assurance. Recommend improvements and update knowledge articles accordingly.
Key Requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens of a NATO country and possess a valid or prior NATO Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the field of networking, specifically with Cisco solutions (LAN, MAN, and WAN).
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI or Cisco SDA is advantageous.
- Experience with either project Operations or Maintenance, or both, would be beneficial given the mixed nature of the role.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios and SolarWinds is recommended.
- A diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing, or a demonstrated equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of French is a valuable asset.
- Possession of IT certifications would be highly advantageous.
