Serving sectors such as local government, education, healthcare, and social services, their solutions are trusted by over 5,000 public organizations globally to support more than 100 million people. With a solid foundation built over 21 years of growth and success, they are now positioned to lead the way in GovTech innovation.

Our client is now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager, as part of their successful Sales department, responsible for identifying new sales opportunities to promote and sell their Revenues & Benefits SaaS to local government clients.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead and implement new business sales campaigns to drive growth.
  • Leverage experience to enhance sales strategies.
  • Develop high-quality written proposals that effectively demonstrate the value of solutions to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on initiatives such as product launches, targeted campaigns, and industry exhibitions to boost sales efforts.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to consistently achieve monthly gross margin targets.
  • Optimise revenue recognition through strategically structured payment profiles for contracted business and contribute to product development by identifying customer needs.

Key Requirements:
 

  • Experience of selling SaaS into Local Government or other public sector verticals.
  • Strong understanding of the local government landscape, including its challenges, regulations, and procurement processes.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Results-driven with a consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex SaaS solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of Revenues & Benefits solutions (Desirable).
